This is just a little something I compiled for my favorite fics of Sasori sorted alphabetically. Appropriate warnings will be mentioned at the beginning of each fic. More will also be added later!

I was on the hunt for Sasori backstory fics when I stumbled into this beauty! It’s short, but very concise and nails Sasori’s personality as a child down to a t (beware the small ones, they usually have the most attitude!) I’m also in love with how the fic portrays Komushi and the Third himself.

I usually don’t care for x Readers w/ Sasori since I always considered him to be strictly aroace, and I’ve always been intimidated by fics on the longer side - especially this one, because Sasori is actually the last Akatsuki member to be properly introduced - but this was a pleasant surprise. The main character and Sasori have beautifully intertwined stories that reflect each other more than they think. Seeing them interact is just pure perfection.

I AM SUCH A SUCKER FOR FICS THAT SHOW HOW SASORI KILLED SANDAIME! It’s such a debated-over part of his story that seeing interpretations of it always make me smile. The writing in this fic is so sparse but perfect to set the tone and keep the story going. Not a single word wasted. The take on Sasori’s fight with Chiyo and Sakura from his perspective is a wonderfully executed concept, too.

Once again, another great (but unfortunately very short) fic that chronicles Sandy (yes that’s what I call him) and Sasori! The story is great at building up tension and giving you the perfect pay off in the end. I love how this also manages to sprinkle in lots of tidbits about Suna as well. (TFW the fandom has to do the worldbuilding for you)

Extremely addictive and well-written fic. Every chapter had me dying to know what devastating event happens to little Sasori next, though it’s not about WHAT happens as much as to HOW it does. The unfolding of this poor little boy’s madness is believable as it is shocking and terrifying. Some of the paragraphs made me squeam and forced me to step back and take a breather.

Simple, with a very silly concept, yet very well written. I love seeing Akatsuki dynamics, and this fic doesn’t disappoint. The author also does a very good job at juggling two different storylines at once.
